The challenge
Couples and close friends already share everything, but through the same feeds as everyone else. We wanted a channel for exactly two people that lives on the home screen, not inside yet another app.
The approach
We built Orbit around live widgets: a photo, doodle, note or mood you send appears on the other person's home screen within seconds. Nineteen widget types, hundreds of styles, plus voice messages, games, shared to-dos and scheduled surprises, with one exclusive connection and everything deleted if you disconnect.
The outcome
Shipped in 2026 for iOS 26, with a free tier and a Plus subscription. Everything we tell clients about widgets, we learned here first.
